How to Find Us
Fort William is well signposted with access via the A82 from the North and South. Approximate driving times are one and a half hours from Inverness and two and a half hours from Glasgow. The AA website contains a journey planner which you may find useful when planning your trip.
Conaglen Estate is located off the A861 near Ardgour, along the opposite side of Loch Linnhe from Fort William. To reach the Estate by car you can either take the Corran Ferry at Inchree, just south of Fort William on the A82. The Ferry runs every half hour across to Ardgour. Turn right when you leave the Ferry in the direction of Treslaig. Alternatively take the A830 just north of Fort William (signposted Mallaig). In this case follow the road for 10 miles, and turn off left at the signpost to Strontian. Carry on along the road through Treslaig towards Ardgour.
The closest airports are Inverness Airport (70 miles) or Glasgow (100 miles). It is possible to hire a car from either airport.
For taxi travel on arrival at Glasgow airport, whether to the city centre or all the way to Fort William, you can book in advance with Glasgow Airport Taxis.
Scotrail runs a regular service from Glasgow Queen Street along the famous West Highland line. Additionally, the West Highland Sleeper runs from London Euston via Edinburgh to Fort William. From Fort William station you can take a taxi, or else arrange to hire a car.
